KARACHI: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has revealed the possibility of rains in the Sindh capital from July 7 to 11.
Meteorologist Jawad Memon has said that there is low air pressure over the Bay of Bengal at present. He further said that if this wind pressure comes to Gujarat, rain is expected in Karachi from July 7 to 11.

Meteorological analyst also said that 30 to 40 mm of rain may occur in Karachi during the first spell. Javad Memon said that there is no possibility of heavy rain in Karachi at present. On the other hand, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a high alert for possible floods in Punjab.
According to the PDMA spokesperson, between July 8 and 10, there is a possibility of a very high level of flooding in the Jhelum, Sutlej, Ravi, and Chenab rivers. According to the spokesman, India is likely to release water into the Ravi and Sutlej rivers, increasing the risk of flooding.
