Karachi: The Sindh Safe Cities Authority has announced plans to install advanced smart no-parking cameras at various locations across Karachi to strengthen enforcement of traffic regulations and improve traffic management.
According to the authority, the new camera system will automatically detect vehicles parked in designated no-parking zones without requiring on-site personnel.
The system will identify traffic violations and relay the relevant information to the traffic police for enforcement.
As part of the initiative, the authority is expanding its network of smart no-parking cameras across different parts of the city.
The cameras will be integrated with the Traffic Regulation and Challan System (TRACS), enabling authorities to detect violations more efficiently and facilitate the issuance of electronic challans (e-challans).
Officials said the use of advanced technology will help traffic police enforce parking regulations more effectively while improving traffic discipline and reducing congestion across the city.
The Sindh Safe Cities Authority has urged motorists to park their vehicles only in designated parking areas and comply with traffic laws to avoid fines and contribute to making Karachi a more organized and technologically advanced city.
