KARACHI: Under the Safe City project, Karachi Police have blacklisted around 40,000 vehicles in a major enforcement drive, officials said.
Authorities confirmed that the crackdown will begin from July 1, targeting vehicles with incomplete ownership records or unpaid government dues in Karachi.
Police said many of the blacklisted vehicles were sold but never officially transferred to new owners, creating gaps in the registration system in Karachi.
According to officials, the list has now been finalised and enforcement teams will be able to seize such vehicles and impose fines where necessary.
Citizens have been advised to check their vehicle status through the police portal and update ownership records immediately if their vehicle appears on the blacklist, as strict action will be enforced after the deadline in the city.
