KARACHI: The district East police in separate operations have claimed to arrest five suspects, involved in various criminal activities in the metropolis today (Wednesday).
According to details, the operations were conducted by Gulistan-e-Jauhar and New Town Police Stations on the directives of senior officers. During the operations, one accused fled away from the spot.
In the first operation, Gulistan-e-Jauhar police station arrested a drug dealer and recovered 200 grams of cannabis from his possession. The arrested accused was identified as Adnan Omar.
In another operation, Gulistan-e-Jauhar police station arrested three robbers and recovered looted money and weapons from their possessions, while one of the suspects fled away from the scene.
The arrested accused were identified as Abdullah, Zakir, and Nadeem. The police have registered the case against the arrested accused under Criminal Section 23 (1) A Sindh Arms Act.
New Town Police arrested an accused involved in various robberies. The police also recovered an illegal weapon and a stolen motorcycle from his possession.
Earlier on August 4, the district police arrested five people, including a member of a Lyari gang war, in three separate operations in Karachi. The operations were conducted by Lyari’s Kalakot Police Station on the directives of senior officers.
