Shops caught fire near Lighthouse on M.A. Jinnah Road in Karachi. There is also a fear that the fire could spread to other parts of the market.
According to details, as soon as the fire was reported, rescue personnel reached the scene. During the fire near Lighthouse on M.A. Jinnah Road, five fire brigade vehicles were busy extinguishing the blaze.
Eyewitnesses said that the fire started in a warehouse storing slippers. Upon immediate notification of the incident, fire brigade vehicles arrived on-site with a large team and began efforts to control the fire.
According to initial information, the fire was spreading rapidly due to the goods stored in the warehouse. However, the timely action of fire brigade personnel helped prevent further spread of the fire.
Shopkeepers in the market and nearby residents were immediately evacuated as a safety measure. No loss of life has been reported from the fire so far.
