Karachi bridge renamed after army martyr Major Adeel Shahid

KARACHI: A bridge on the Main Rashid Minhas Road in Karachi has been renamed after martyred army officer Major Adeel Shahid who sacrificed his life for the country.
On this occasion, Chairman Municipality East Moeed Anwar said the sacrifices by national heroes for the sake of Pakistan will never be forgotten. He said the nation was living in peace due to their sacrifices.
Hailing the extraordinary sacrifices and services, of the martyred officer, he said that Major Adeel Shahid was a national hero. He said the nation is proud of national sacrifices who laid down their lives for the sake of the country.
He added that the Pakistanis nation takes pride in its martyrs and armed forces who are ready to defend the nation against any aggression. He said the nation will forget the sacrifice of Major Adeel Shahid.
Major Adeel Shahid embraced martyrdom while fencing the border along Afghanistan when an explosive device laid down by miscreants exploded. He was laid the rest in Karachi.
A plaque to rename the Askari flyover after Major Adeel Shahid Shaheed was also unveiled on the occasion. DIG East Amir Farooqui, Allama Shehshah Naqvi’s and the martyred officer’s father Syed Shah Hussain Naqvi were also present.
