PESHAWAR: Unusual weather patterns, often attributed to climate change, have been observed in Pakistan, a country hugely impacted by environmental shifts. This has led to a diverse range of weather conditions across the country. However, the recent unusual snowfall in Mansehra and Kaghan Valley has provided a picturesque spectacle for nature enthusiasts.
This uncommon weather phenomenon has also enticed tourists to explore the captivating mountainous regions of the country. However, other areas such as Abbottabad, Nathiagali, Dongagali, Thandiani, and Ayubiya have been experiencing heavy rainfall, prompting authorities to caution against travel to these regions.

Moreover, the Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) region, situated further north, has been grappling with landslides in areas like Simeri, Jora, Dourian, Doodhniyal, and Sheikh Baila. Due to multiple landslides along the Neelum Road, authorities have temporarily closed it to ensure the safety of travelers. Efforts are underway to clear the road and restore safe passage.
The persistent heavy rainfall has exacerbated the risk of landslides along the Neelum Road, making it imperative for authorities to advise against its use until further notice.
