K-Electric announces maintenance shutdown for five feeders on August 26

KARACHI: K-Electric has announced a planned maintenance shutdown for several power feeders across the city on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, as part of its routine maintenance activities.

According to the schedule issued by the power utility, power supply to five feeders will remain suspended for several hours at different times during the day.

The shutdown is being carried out to facilitate maintenance work on the electricity distribution network.

The affected feeders and scheduled shutdown timings are as follows:

Kohinoor Marble: Power supply is scheduled to remain suspended from 8:59am to 5:59pm.

Meezan Bank: The feeder will remain off from 9:59am to 5:59pm.

P-V26 RMU: Maintenance-related suspension is scheduled from 9:59am to 5:59pm.

Saba Cinema: The shutdown will begin at 8:29am and continue until 5:59pm.

Shafi & Co.: Power supply will remain suspended from 9:59am to 4:59pm.

The longest scheduled shutdowns will affect the Kohinoor Marble, Meezan Bank and P-V26 RMU feeders, with interruptions lasting until 5:59pm.

The Saba Cinema feeder is scheduled for the earliest start at 8:29am, while the Shafi & Co. feeder has the earliest scheduled restoration time at 4:59pm.

Residents, businesses and other consumers connected to the affected feeders have been advised to take the planned interruption into account and make necessary arrangements to manage their electricity requirements during the maintenance period.

The planned shutdown is part of K-Electric’s maintenance programme aimed at carrying out work on its distribution infrastructure. Power restoration is expected according to the schedule, subject to completion of the required maintenance activities.

Consumers in the affected areas are advised to remain prepared for the scheduled outage and follow official K-Electric updates in case of any changes to the maintenance timetable.
