K-Electric announces maintenance shutdown for 30 July

K-Electric (KE) has announced a scheduled maintenance shutdown affecting more than 30 electricity feeders across different parts of the city on Thursday, 30 July 2026.

The planned outages are part of the utility’s routine maintenance programme aimed at improving the reliability, safety and efficiency of the power distribution network.

According to the maintenance schedule released by KE, electricity supply will remain suspended in affected areas for periods ranging between seven and ten hours, depending on the feeder.

The shutdowns will commence between 7:59 am and 9:59 am, with restoration expected between 3:59 pm and 6:01 pm.

The feeders scheduled for maintenance include:

36-B RMU (7:59 am – 5:59 pm)
51-C Area (8:00 am – 5:00 pm)
Abbasi Market (9:59 am – 4:59 pm)
Ali Gohar (9:59 am – 5:59 pm)
Bela Cross (9:59 am – 5:59 pm)
BQ Liquid (Ex Bino Qasim Packages) (9:59 am – 5:59 pm)
Chakra Goth RMU (8:00 am – 5:00 pm)
Chayle Corner RMU (7:59 am – 5:59 pm)
CMH (8:59 am – 5:59 pm)
C-Station (8:00 am – 5:00 pm)
Dada Enterprise (7:59 am – 3:59 pm)
Diamond City (9:00 am – 6:00 pm)
Ejaz Ansari RMU (8:59 am – 5:59 pm)
Hikmat Institute (8:59 am – 4:59 pm)
Jamali Bridge (9:00 am – 6:01 pm)
Johar Square (9:00 am – 6:00 pm)
Jumma Village (8:00 am – 5:00 pm)

KE has advised residents and businesses in the affected localities to make the necessary arrangements ahead of the scheduled shutdown.

Consumers are encouraged to plan their activities accordingly, particularly where electricity-dependent operations are concerned.

The utility maintains that such maintenance work is essential to strengthen the electricity distribution system, reduce the likelihood of unplanned outages and ensure a more reliable power supply in the long term.

Residents have also been advised to treat all electrical installations as live during the maintenance period and to await official confirmation before assuming that power has been fully restored.
