ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has demanded the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to hold new polls as he rejected by-elections results in Daska NA-75.
“ECP has stopped the Daska result, it should announce its decision,” he said. While talking to members of the press, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the results in Daska were changed through the rigging. “They took the candidate who was trailing at number three to the top position,” he claimed by adding that in the Kurram Agency by-poll held on the same day, 6 fake votes were detected
“Polling officers were either complicit or helpless. We cannot accept NA-75 results,” JUI-F Head said. It is to be noted that the Election Commission of Pakistan reserved its verdict on the NA-75 Daska by-elections case that will be announced today at 3:00 pm.
