Another user wrote that two Pakistani journalists have gone missing this Saturday morning i.e. Amir, who left home but did not reach his office, and Imran Shafqat who was picked up from his residence.

In this regard, PPP’s Sherry Rehman also tweeted and showed concern that journalists being “picked up” in this manner is unacceptable. “What crimes are they charged with? Where is the due process of law? Weekend pickups mean they will stay in lockup until Monday. We expect clarity in law on why Amir Mir and Imran Shafqat have been summarily arrested,” she asserted.
