A long-awaited return to the Jump Street franchise is officially in the works, with “24 Jump Street” announced more than a decade after the release of 22 Jump Street in 2014.
According to multiple media reports, original stars Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum and Ice Cube are in talks to reprise their roles in the upcoming action-comedy sequel. Rodney Rothman, who co-wrote 22 Jump Street, is attached to direct and co-write the film alongside Hill and Meghan Malloy.

The project marks the third installment in the modern Jump Street series, which began with 21 Jump Street and continued with the hit sequel 22 Jump Street. Original directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller will return as producers rather than directors.
One of the biggest talking points surrounding the announcement is the title itself. Instead of 23 Jump Street, the franchise is skipping directly to 24 Jump Street, a move many fans believe is in keeping with the series’ self-aware and meta-comedic style.
The sequel has endured a lengthy and complicated development process. Over the years, various concepts were explored, including a proposed crossover with the Men in Black franchise that never materialized.
No release date or plot details have been revealed, but the return of the original cast is expected to generate significant excitement among fans of the franchise.
