Jalila Haider becomes one of BBC’s 100 inspiring women

QUETTA: Hazara’s human rights lawyers, Jalila Haider has been listed in the British Broadcasting Corporation’s (BBC) 100 most inspiring women of 2019 list.
Jalila Haider has been listed in the 100 and influential women from around the world.
Haider is the founder of “We the Humans”, a not-for-profit organisation. She works for the protection of women’s rights in Pakistan.
Haider has been providing free legal services to women belonging to low-income strata across the country. She shared her joy and gratitude on being given the honour on the social media platform, Twitter.
She wrote, “Wow, this is an honour for me that I am among the BBC’s 100 women list for 2019 from Pakistan. I also want to congratulate Parveen Ahanger who is also on the list. More power to the brave women of Kashmir.”

According to the BBC,  Haider in 2018, went on a hunger strike as she demanded the protection of fundamental rights of the Hazara community.
