LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Jahangir Khan Tareen on Friday returned to Pakistan after seven months stay in the United Kingdom.
Jahangir Khan Tareen arrived at the Allama Iqbal International Airport early on Friday on a foreign airline flight. He had Heathrow Airport in London along with his family for Dubai after staying in Hampshire county in for seven months.
Speaking to journalists after arriving at the airport, the PTI leader said that he went abroad for medical treatment. He said that his businesses were fair and transparent and he has never been involved in any wrongdoing. He maintained that it was not necessary to respond to every allegation hurled by the opposition.
Jahangir Khan Tareen, former PTI secretary-general and a close aide of Prime Minister Imran Khan, left the country after developing differences with the prime minister over the publication of Sugar Commission report.
The report implicated Tareen who has denied any wrongdoing and has blamed a group around the prime minister for going after him. Tareen also complained that his family members were also put under surveillance and their calls were traced and movements monitored were during the course of investigations.
