An Islamabad-based woman has lodged an FIR with police in Chakwal against a local in-charge of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) for raping her after luring her to the city on a pretext of a job.
The City Police Station registered a case following a complaint lodged by a woman, who alleged that the suspect lured her to Chakwal with the promise of employment.
According to the complaint, the accused took her to his residence, where she was allegedly assaulted.
The woman further claimed that the suspect also threatened her. Following the registration of the case, police launched an investigation into the allegations.
Earlier last week, the Gujjar Pura police in Lahore registered a gang-rape case on the complaint of a woman.
The police formed a team to arrest the suspects nominated in the FIR.
The victim alleged in the FIR that the incident took place some weeks back when three suspects took her to fields, where they allegedly gang-raped her.
Giving the reason for the delay in filing the complaint, she said the alleged rapists had been threatening her of dire consequences if she reported the matter to the police.
