In a bid to enhance the Islamabad’s recreational and tourism infrastructure, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has launched plans to establish a safari park in the city.
Chairman CDA, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, led a meeting on Tuesday with CDA Board members, representatives from the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), and other officials to discuss the project. The envisioned safari park will be a world-class facility, offering a unique experience for residents and visitors, positioning Islamabad as a premier tourist destination.
The FCDO will provide technical assistance to ensure the project aligns with global standards. The meeting also resolved to study international-standard safari parks as models for this initiative.
Moreover, Chairman Randhawa outlined plans to improve facilities in F-9 Park, creating new opportunities for outdoor activities for residents.
In an earlier CDA Board meeting, several key agenda items were discussed. The board decided to adopt new Paternity and Maternity Rules and focused on revitalizing the CDA Hospital.
Plans were made to enhance the hospital’s operational efficiency and financial sustainability, including the recruitment of doctors and paramedical staff for vacant positions. Chairman Randhawa also called for proposals to establish a medical college within the hospital to be presented at the next board meeting.
