Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, who is currently enjoying the successful release of his starter ‘Dunki’, is all set to close off 2023 on a high with three successful film releases.
Now social media users and SRK fans have been wondering what’s next for the Dunki actor in 2024. There are unconfirmed reports that Khan might star in the highly anticipated fourth installment of the ‘Dhoom’ franchise.
Other unconfirmed claims stated that RRR star Ram Charan has allegedly been tapped to play the role of a cop. Rumours are rife that YRF is in advance talks with SRK and that an announcement could be just around the corner.
Previously, there were rumours that Salman Khan would be taking over the Dhoom franchise and would be playing the lead in the fourth installment. However, those rumours were later rubbished.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film has witnessed a consistent decline. The film has surpassed the Rs 150 crore mark in India and will pass the Rs 300 crore mark worldwide today.
Dunki is Shah Rukh Khan’s weakest film this year, both critically and commercially. The star previously delivered Jawan and Pathaan in 2023, breaking his own records. Both movies grossed a combined total of over Rs 2200 crore, and with Dunki’s numbers factored in, Shah Rukh’s films have now grossed around Rs 2500 crore worldwide.
