The Farhan Akhtar directorial ‘Don 3’ has grabbed eyeballs since the change in the casting decision. The threequel starring Ranveer Singh is an anti-hero character with many enemies.
However, lately, there has been quite a buzz about the much-anticipated third installation, expected to be delayed until the end of 2024.
The film which was initially slated to kick off production in August 2024 has been reportedly delayed but Ranveer Singh is solely not the reason behind the movie’s postponement.
Akhtar’s obligations to another project commencing in July and the upcoming birth of Singh’s first child with wife-actress Deepika Padukone in September have pushed the timeline to undergo some changes.
Speaking of, Ranveer Singh is reportedly taking an extended paternity leave to spend time with his wife. The soon-to-be parents made the announcement last month on Instagram. Now according to Zoom, Singh is set to take a year-long paternity leave to support Padukone.
A source shared, “Deepika had already cleared the decks. She had gradually eased out all of her work and was getting ready for a long paternity leave. Ranveer had no such plans. But after his one-year dates for Baiju Bawra were vacated, Ranveer had no other assignments ready to go on the floor. He has now decided not to take any interim assignments.”
As per the Indian media, he will be spending time with Deepika and the baby. The duo expecting their first child.
