In India’s Gujarat state, a 60-year-old man named Harish Maaru was arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a dog.
The incident came to light when a video capturing the inappropriate behavior was circulated on social media.
Dharmesh Gaami, the chief of Bhartiya Gau Raksha Manch, took immediate action and lodged a formal complaint against Harish after seeing the disturbing video.
The Indian police responded swiftly to the complaint and apprehended Harish, charging him under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960.

Specifically, he was charged under Section 337 of the IPC, which deals with engaging in unnatural sexual acts with a person or animal, and Section 11(1) of the Animal Cruelty Act, which addresses the mistreatment of animals.
To investigate the allegations, the dog involved underwent a medical examination. The authorities are now preparing to present Harish before the court to proceed with legal actions.
