ISLAMABAD: A Foreign Office spokesman has said that India is violating human rights in occupied Kashmir.

Foreign Office spokesman Zahid Hafeez said in a statement that Indian forces martyred a Kashmiri and the situation in Occupied Kashmir is deteriorating day by day.

The international community must take notice of Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir. As per the Foreign Office spokesperson, the international community should fulfill its promise of self-determination to Kashmiris.

The Indian Army is targeting Kashmiri youth in fake encounters. The international community must pay attention to human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.

Al-Qaeda has no presence in Pakistan, he added. “Pakistan has conducted hundreds of security operations to eliminate al-Qaeda,” he further added.

“Pakistan’s role in defeating al-Qaeda has been praised by the international community. The arrest of al-Qaeda operatives in India is part of an Indian propaganda campaign.,” he maintained.

It may be recalled that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Coordinating Group had expressed concern over the situation in Occupied Kashmir yesterday.

At the request of Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, members of the OIC Contact Group on Occupied Kashmir met in New York to discuss the deteriorating human rights situation in Occupied Kashmir.

The meeting was attended by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Munir Akram and Permanent Representatives of Saudi Arabia, Niger, and Azerbaijan.
