LAHORE: A medical board has rejected medical reports of former premier Nawaz Sharif as the reports were insufficient.
The Punjab government’s constituted medical board returned the reports which were sent by the Sharif family from London back as they were incomplete.
The board also informed the Punjab government in this regard that reports failed to arrive at a meaningful conclusion.
The medical board asked about the test of the cardiac function test, genetic testing, bone marrow tests, PET scan, and platelets. These major tests were not attested to the other tests required.
A few days ago, the medical board asked the former premier for fresh and complete medical reports regarding his health. The medical board informed the government that it could not comment on the incomplete reports of Nawaz Sharif.
PM’s Special Assistant on Information Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan regarding Nawaz Sharif’s health said that he used his illness as a means of escape.
She said that the government would approach the court if Nawaz Sharif’s medical report was not submitted within the deadline given by the Punjab government.
She said that Nawaz Sharif’s illness was linked with his removal from power, adding that Shehbaz Sharif was involved in conspiracies to mislead the people of Pakistan.
