Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has strongly condemned the recent attack on Jaffer Express, expressing deep sorrow and calling for a unified stance against terrorism.
After a legal meeting with Khan at Adiala Jail, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar stated that Khan also reaffirmed PTI’s national presence, emphasizing that the party enjoys support from 70% of the population.
Barrister Ali Zafar quoted Khan as saying that excluding PTI from decision-making on security matters is counterproductive.
He dismissed security briefings without public representation as meaningless and stressed the importance of a national solution to combat terrorism.
Senior lawyer Salman Akram Raja added that Khan criticized his and his wife’s imprisonment, calling it “fascism” and vowing not to surrender in his fight for the Constitution, rule of law, and democracy.
Meanwhile, lawyer Niazullah Niazi revealed that Khan raised concerns about legal cases, lack of access to his children, restrictions on books, and limited communication with party members. Khan also instructed that no petitions be filed on his behalf without his direct approval.
