Illegal construction continues in Karachi under SBCA support

KARACHI: The officials of the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) have allowed illegal constructions in several areas of the metropolis by receiving an enormous amount of bribe.
Sources said SBCA officials allowed illegal constructions in Karachi despite the increasing death rate of citizens due to the collapse of high-rise buildings.
The construction of multi-story illegal buildings continues in most parts of the city under the patronage of SBCA Deputy Director Aamir Khan, who was given additional charge of Saddar Town-1.
Sources disclosed under the patronage of SBCA Deputy Director Aamir Khan illegal construction of 5-story flats/units without maps on residential plot no K-275, Block No H, in North Nazimabad Town under process.
While illegal construction of commercial two-storied flat on Block 5-B plot No. 1/5 in North Nazimabad residential area is under construction.
On the other hand, illegal constructions on the plots No 9/25 and 11/31 of Block No 5A are also on the rise against the legal maps under the support of
SBCA Director Nadeem Anwar and Deputy Director Abdul Amir Khan.
Sources said Nadeem Anwar and Deputy Director Abdul Amir Khan have become patrons of illegal constructions in North Nazimabad Town.
Several buildings including three and four-story commercial flats, portions, units, multi-units, extra floors, and shops are being constructed illegally on residential plots in Nazimabad ​​Liaquatabad Town while officers continue to ignore the matter.
Citizens have appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take immediate notice of the ongoing illegal constructions in Karachi and save thousands of lives at stake by bringing those responsible to justice.
