KARACHI: Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Sindh Dr Syed Kaleem Imam has called for foolproof security on Christmas celebrations and Quaid-i-Azam Day being observed on Wednesday, 25 December 2019.
The provincial police chief also instructed to police officials for deployments of policemen around churches as well as making other extraordinary arrangements on this occasion
Kaleem directed the deputy inspectors general and senior superintendents of police to ensure strict monitoring of processions and rallies during Christmas celebrations and the birth anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah in different towns and cities across the province.
He ordered all the Station House Officers to boost patrolling and arbitrary checking in their respected localities by utilising of all intelligence resources.
He also issued directives for keeping bomb disposal squads on alert. The police chief ordered top officials to initiate a crackdown against criminals.
IGP said “All citizen has equal rights as enshrined in the Constitution of Pakistan irrespective of colour, creed, and ethnicity. The Sindh government is flourishing a true image of Pakistan in which all citizens will have equal rights,” he said.
