ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has predicted dry weather in most parts of the country and hot weather in the central and southern regions during the next 24 hours.
High winds/storms and thundershowers at a few places in Upper Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir while South Punjab and Upper Sindh are likely to experience strong winds/thunderstorms.
The Meteorological Department said that the western wave is affecting the western and upper regions of the country and is likely to persist in the upper regions during the next 18 to 24 hours.
During the last 24 hours, the weather remained partly cloudy/dry in most parts of the country while hot in southern parts. Rain and drizzle occurred in a few places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and North Balochistan.
On Friday, Shaheed Benazirabad, Dadu, and Jacobabad remained the hottest places in the country where the temperature rose to 42 degrees Celsius, while the weather in Karachi is likely to remain hot and dry today.
