The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (CERT) has announced its internship program for students and recent graduates interested in building careers in cybersecurity. The six-week program is designed to provide participants with hands-on experience under the supervision of experienced cybersecurity professionals.
Interns will gain practical exposure in key areas including incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management, offering valuable real-world experience in the rapidly growing field of cybersecurity.
The program is open to undergraduate students enrolled in relevant disciplines such as computer science, information security, cybersecurity, or related fields. Applicants are expected to demonstrate a strong interest in cybersecurity, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment, along with strong communication skills.
Internship Tracks
The program offers multiple specialized tracks, including Governance, Compliance & Audit; Incident Management & Threat Intelligence; Cybersecurity Training Development; Software Security Testing; Software and Artificial Intelligence Development; Vulnerability Assessment & Research; Hardware Security Assessment; Digital Forensics; Project Management; Social Media Management; Content Writing; and VFX & Video Editing.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should have a solid foundation in cybersecurity concepts, including networking protocols, operating systems, programming languages, cybersecurity frameworks, and common security tools. Knowledge of incident response, vulnerability assessment, and threat intelligence is considered an advantage.
Technical proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, or C/C++, as well as scripting languages like Bash and PowerShell, is also desirable.
