Lahore: The Punjab government has launched the Electric Bike Scheme 2026, enabling male students across the province to own a personal electric motorcycle through affordable, interest-free installments of just Rs2,000 per month.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced the initiative during a ceremony in Arifwala, where she also elevated 10 government schools to the status of Nawaz Sharif Schools of Eminence.

Addressing the gathering, the chief minister unveiled a series of education reforms, including the establishment of Nawaz Sharif Schools of Eminence in every tehsil, modernization of public schools, and the introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) laboratories across Punjab.

  • Hold a valid motorcycle driving licence or learner’s permit.
