NEW DELHI: Heavy rains and floods in Pakistan’s neighboring India and China have caused massive damage, leaving millions homeless and rescuing those trapped in the floods.
According to details, a large number of people trapped in the flood are being rescued in the Indian state of Assam. Food items are being delivered by helicopter, but the Modi-led Indian government seems to have failed to clean up the flood-hit areas.
As per the statistics, 5.5 to 6 million people have been displaced due to floods in India. Flood-affected families are being relocated to relief camps. Lack of sanitation led to outbreaks of diseases in the flood-hit areas.
Clean water, medicine, and food are also being provided to the citizens by boats. Claiming to be the world’s largest democracy, the country also faced a pool of resources for sanitation and management of flood-hit areas.
