ISLAMABAD: Islamabad and Rawalpindi were hit by strong winds, thunderstorms, heavy rain and intense hail on Thursday, September 24, causing difficulties for residents in several areas.
Large hailstones were reported in some parts of the twin cities, with reports of multiple vehicles being damaged. Residents also recorded videos of the sudden rain and hailstorm and shared them on social media.

Strong winds and heavy rainfall disrupted traffic and affected movement on roads in various parts of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, causing inconvenience for commuters.
The rain and hail brought relief from the heat and made the weather pleasant, although the sudden change in weather conditions caught residents by surprise.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department had forecast thunderstorms, rain and strong winds in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and other upper parts of the country. Residents have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel and take precautionary measures during adverse weather conditions.
