KARACHI: The two steps Health card and shelter facilities to homeless people across Pakistan of the ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have proved to be a great source of the console to the deprived people of the country.
Appreciating the measures the millions of deprived families across the country are using the facilities. Prime Minister Imran Khan had said that the country has come out of the crisis of repayment of loans; now all efforts will be put in for initiating public-welfare projects.
Through the initiative, millions of people benefit from health cards on a daily basis, while shelters prove to be home for unemployed and homeless people. As many as 53,480 poor families are benefiting from health cards in the federal capital Islamabad.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) 1211420 families, while in Punjab 3878618 are taking advantage through this imitative.
In Azad Kashmir about 254428, while in Gilgit-Baltistan 36335 poor families benefit from health card projects.
For the first phase, it provides access to medical services for 15 million families that are about 80 million people, mainly residents in tribal districts.
The health project allows access to more than 150 hospitals throughout Pakistan, both public and private. In the facilities, the public can receive free treatment for a wide sort of treatments, including angioplasty, surgery and cancer, up to a total of 720 thousand rupees (4,500 euro). In addition to medical expenses, the insurance also covers hospital transport for up to 1,000 rupees (6 euros) per trip.
