‘Harry Potter’ costars pay tribute to Robbie Coltrane as he dies at 72

Actor Robbie Coltrane, who played Hagrid in the Harry Potter movies, has died at the age of 72.

His agent Belinda Wright confirmed the actor died in a hospital near Falkirk in Scotland. He has been described by his agent as a ‘unique talent’. His Harry Potter costars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and more actors paid tribute to the late actor.

Daniel Radcliffe

Daniel Radcliffe who played Harry Potter called Robbie Coltrane as ‘one of the funniest people he has met’. Radcliffe’s statement reads, “Robbie used to keep us laughing constantly as kids on the set. I’ve especially fond memories of him keeping our spirits up on ‘Prisoner of Azkaban’, when we were all hiding from the torrential rain for hours in Hagrid’s hut and he was telling stories and cracking jokes to keep morale up.
