Soon after the Peshawar suicide bombing on January 30, the government had decided to convene an All Parties Conference and take politicians into confidence on the background of the rising wave of terrorism in the country, and to examine ways and means for full scale implementation of National Action Plan (NAP).
However, the government Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb announced that the APC had been rescheduled for February 9 (Thursday), without mentioning any reason.

Meanwhile, taking to Twitter, PM Shehbaz Sharif said solidarity with earthquake victims of Turkiye and Syria should be translated into tangible and timely material support.
24 hours after the devastating earthquake hit Turkiye & Syria, scenes of death & destruction are mind numbing. It breaks the heart to witness sheer scale of unfolding human tragedy. Solidarity should translate into tangible & timely material support for suffering humanity.
