ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Brigadier (r) Ijaz Ahmad Shah has expressed the government’s resolve to hold a transparent and fair inquiry into the murder of journalist Aziz Memon.
During a meeting with National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser here Ijaz Ahmad Shah said the responsible persons involved in the murder of Aziz Memon would be dealt with Iron hands.
He said the government believes in freedom of expression and will take every possible measure to defend the rights of the journalist community.
While denouncing the murder of Aziz Memon, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser urged the government to provide a congenial atmosphere to journalists for performing their professional responsibilities.
