Gold prices in Pakistan rose on Thursday, mirroring gains in the international bullion market.
According to rates shared by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola increased by Rs1,000 during the day to settle at Rs492,362. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold rose by Rs858 to reach Rs422,121.
On Wednesday, gold had declined by Rs1,100 per tola, closing at Rs491,362 after a brief downturn in the local market.
In the global market, gold gained $10 to reach $4,700 per ounce, including a $20 premium, reflecting continued volatility in international trading.
Meanwhile, silver prices also moved upward, increasing by Rs65 per tola to settle at Rs9,204 in the local market.
Market analysts say domestic bullion rates continue to follow fluctuations in global prices, currency movement and investor demand.
It should be noted that the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) releases official gold rates at around 1 PM from Monday to Saturday.
