Gold prices in Pakistan fell on Wednesday, mirroring the downward trend in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold dropped by Rs1,000 per tola to settle at Rs426,436. Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold declined by Rs857 to Rs365,600, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Tuesday, gold prices had fallen by Rs4,300 per tola, bringing the rate to Rs427,436.
In the global market, gold prices slipped by $10 to $4,040 per ounce, including a premium of $20.
Meanwhile, silver prices moved higher, with the price per tola increasing by Rs68 to reach Rs6,291.
It should be noted that the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) releases official gold rates at around 1 PM from Monday to Saturday.
