In the previous session, gold prices recorded a massive surge of over Rs21,000, mirroring the upward trend in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold increased by Rs21,100 per tola to reach Rs551,662.

Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold gained Rs18,090 to Rs472,961, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Meanwhile, silver prices rose by Rs271 to Rs11,911 per tola.
