Gold prices in Pakistan fell on Wednesday, mirroring losses in the international market. In the domestic market, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs5,500 to settle at Rs479,562.
Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of gold declined by Rs4,715, bringing it down to Rs411,147, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association.
On Tuesday, gold prices had already recorded a sharp decline, with the per tola rate falling by Rs8,900 to close at Rs485,062.
In the global market, gold prices decreased by $55 to reach $4,572 per ounce, including a premium of $20.
Meanwhile, silver prices also followed a downward trend, dropping by Rs45 to settle at Rs7,766 per tola.
It should be noted that the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) releases official gold rates at around 1 PM from Monday to Saturday.
