Pakistan’s gold prices increased on Wednesday in tandem with the global rate of increase. The price of the yellow metal was Rs238,900 a tola, up Rs1,800 on the day.
The All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) provided prices that show that the 10-gram gold was sold for Rs204,818 following an increase of Rs1,543.
On Tuesday, gold prices in Pakistan had decreased by Rs500 per tola.
Following a $17 increase in the foreign market, the international rate for gold was established at $2,290 per ounce on Wednesday, with a premium of $20, according to APGJSA.
In the meantime, the price of silver rose by Rs10, to Rs 2,610 per tola.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani rupee saw a marginal loss, depreciating 0.03% against the US dollar in the interbank market on Wednesday.
At close, the local unit settled at 277.92, down by Re0.08 against the greenback, as per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
