WASHINGTON: Around the world, the coronavirus pandemic has killed more than 382,479 people and infected over 6,452,391.
According to the latest data, 3,067,598 patients have recovered from the pandemic so far. The United States has been the hardest-hit country, with 1,881,205 cases and 108,059 deaths.
Brazil now has the second-highest number of recorded infections in the world after the United States with 558,237cases and 31,309 fatalities with 1,262 deaths in a 24 hour period.
Over 423,741 people have infected while 5,037 people died of the virus in Russia. The country has the third-highest number of recorded infections in the world.
Spain has recorded 27,127 fatalities and 287,012 infections. United Kingdom has reported 39,369 fatalities and 277,985 infections.
Italy, which recorded its first coronavirus death at the end of February, has 33,530 fatalities, while 233,515 infections. India has reported 207,191 cases while 5,829 deaths due to the coronavirus.
Germany has reported 8,674 deaths and 184,091 infections. China has to date declared 4,634 deaths and 83,021 cases, with 78,314 recoveries.
In Belgium, 9,505 people succumbed to the disease while reported 58,615 cases due to the coronavirus. Mexico has reported 10,637 deaths and 97,326 cases.
Canada reported 7,395 fatalities and 92,410 infections due to coronavirus. Israel has reported 17,285 coronavirus cases while 290 deaths.
Saudi Arabia has reported 89,011 cases of coronavirus, while 549 coronavirus deaths have been reported. Meanwhile, Kuwait has reported 226 deaths while over 28,649 people have been tested positive for the virus.
