As the holy month of Ramadan begins, the brutal war on Gaza has entered its sixth month. Israel is carrying out unilateral massacres of Palestinians in Gaza, resulting in the tragic loss of more than 32,000 lives, including innocent children and women as the world watches helplessly.
The deteriorating situation in Gaza is evident to all, with over five months of relentless destructive attacks by Israel leaving the region in ruins. Death looms over every living being, yet Israel’s aggression shows no signs of abating. Gaza, a small city with an area of only 45 km, bears the brunt of barbaric assaults from planes, drones, tanks, cannons, and guns for five long months. The extent of devastation and loss of life is unimaginable.
Israel’s relentless massacre of Palestinians suggests a sinister agenda to eradicate the Palestinian presence in Gaza and annex the city. Prime Minister Netanyahu’s refusal to recognize the Palestinian Authority’s rule in Gaza underscores this intention. Reports indicate Israel’s two-fold plan to achieve its territorial ambitions: forcibly displacing the two million-strong Palestinian population to Egypt or exterminating the entire population until Gaza is devoid of Palestinians.
Despite Israel’s brutality, Palestinians remain steadfast in their determination to defend their land. The Muslim world must unite in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians. While governments may falter, the hearts of Muslims worldwide remain resolutely with Gaza’s suffering population.
This Ramadan, it is imperative for Muslims to contribute generously to alleviate the plight of Gaza’s families, especially those facing famine, particularly in the northern regions. Numerous organizations, including the Al-Khidmat Foundation, facilitate aid delivery to Gaza, ensuring support reaches those in desperate need.
