MULTAN: Nine people have died and two have been seriously injured, as a result of the collapse of a 3-storey decayed building in Mohalla Jawadian.
Among the dead were two women and a child. According to a media report (Hum News), precious lives were lost due to the collapse of a 3-storey building in Mohalla Jawadian of Multan. Two people have been transferred to the hospital with serious injuries. The child among the deceased was 11 years old.
Rescue teams reached the spot upon receiving information about the accident that took place late at night. The operation has been completed after removing the dead bodies from the debris.
Deputy Commissioner Multan said that a full investigation will be conducted into the incident of the building collapse. A technical team has been constituted for the physical inspection of the neighboring buildings.
It should be remembered that earlier, as a result of the collapse of a building under construction in the Shah Faisal Colony area of Karachi, 3 people died under the debris. The video of the incident went viral on social media.
As soon as the building collapse was reported in October last year, the rescue personnel reached the scene and started the work of evacuating the trapped people. Initially, 2 people were killed, but one more body was recovered from the wreckage.
