Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has promoted Lieutenant General Syed Aamer Raza, Chief of General Staff, to the rank of Four-Star General and appointed him as Commander, National Strategic Command, on Friday.
The promotion of General Aamer Raza to four-star rank is well-deserved and comes after many years of successful service within the Pakistan Army, most recently holding the position of Chief of General Staff in GHQ, an important post that requires foresight and expertise in military matters.
This is one of the most important positions in the Pakistan Army and requires a high level of strategic, operational expertise and a deep grasp of military affairs.
Lieutenant General Amir Raza has previously served as Director General Weapons and Equipment and Chairman Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT).
