SANAA: Fierce fighting between Yemeni government forces and Houthi fighters is continuing in several districts of Yemen. At least 30 Houthi fighters have been killed and more than 60 others seriously injured in the latest clashes and airstrikes.
According to military sources, some of the fiercest fighting took place in Al Wazi’iyah district, where Yemeni forces tightened the pressure on Houthi fighters. During the clashes, warplanes targeted Houthi military bases, vehicles and key supply routes, causing heavy casualties and material losses.
Meanwhile, in Taiz province, Yemeni forces also thwarted attempts by Houthi fighters to advance and destroyed several of their positions.
Military officials said operations against Houthi fighters are being intensified on various fronts across the country in an effort to weaken their network.
