KARACHI: The Karachi administration is offering free CSS consultation services and lectures to students aspiring to appear in the competitive examinations.
Karachi Administrator Iftikhar Ali Shalwani inaugurated of free CSS consultative sessions at Frere Hall. Shalwani said the response from students is encouraging and hoped for a sustainable continuation of the program. Several other bureaucrats also graced the occasion.
“Frere Hall Library offers free CSS consultation services and series of lectures by present and former bureaucrats, professors, and diplomats,” his Twitter post read. “The response from students is encouraging and we are hopeful for a sustainable continuation of the program,” he said.
Earlier in a tweet, the Karachi Administrator termed the move as an “unprecedented” opportunity for CSS aspirants.

Interested students can visit the parks and horticulture director-general’s office or the Frere Hall library where registration desks have been set up. On Monday, KMC spokesperson Ali Hasan Sajid said 25 students have registered. He said there is no fee for registration or the classes.
He said the second CSS Corner will be inaugurated by next week at Al Markaz-e-Islami located at Ayesha Manzil in Federal B Area. A registration desk has also been set up at Al Markaz-e-Islami.
The CSS classes will be 5pm onwards every day while Shallwani will conduct a class in 15 days. Many current and former bureaucrats, ambassadors and senior officers will assist the students.
The Karachi administrator said that students will get free of charge CSS preparation books and other materials. He said students should avail the facility to gain success in CSS examinations.
