ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office spokesperson Ayesha Farooqi has said that she was pleased to meet Director Communications of British High Commission (BHC) Fouzia Younis.
Ayesha Farooqi posted it on twitter that the foreign officer met the British Diplomat Islamabad today, “Wonderful to meet Director Communications of British High Commission @YounisFouzia in my office today. Look forward to sharing notes on media and public diplomacy initiatives in our 2 countries.”

Earlier on 16th January, she claimed that Pakistan was trying its best to defuse tensions in the region. While addressing a weekly press briefing, Farooqi said that Pakistan would continue to play its role in maintaining peace and stability in the region.
Farooqi said, ‘Pakistan enjoys cordial relations with all the countries including Iran and Afghanistan. We will continue to play our due role in maintaining regional peace,” she added.
