ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has met Ambassador of Pakistan to United Nations Munir Akram in the federal capital to discuss the Afghan peace process.
During the meeting, both Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Munir discussed the Afghan peace process, the regional situation, and the Kashmir issue.
Earlier on 22nd February, Qureshi said that convincing the Afghan Taliban for table talks was not easy. Pakistan helped Afghans at every step and convinced the Afghan Taliban for table talks, he added.
He said that the United States and the international community admired our country’s part in the Afghan peace process but he added that the calmed solution of such conflict was not an easy job.
Qureshi urged the need for a general dialogue for a political solution of a decades-long war-torn country.
Qureshi in this regard also met the US Special Representative for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad last week where both exchanged the Afghanistan reconciliation process.
