KARACHI: The administration has issued a red alert to evacuate the population due to floods, due to the continuous increase in the flood water level in Badin.
According to the details, the level of flood water is continuously increasing in Badin, after which a red alert has been issued to evacuate the population. The water level in the Left Bank Outfall Drain (LBOD) is continuously rising.
The district administration has announced the evacuation of the area through mosques and vehicles on the speaker and appealed to the population to immediately vacate their homes including their livestock and valuables and move to safe places.
Local sources said that the water has become uncontrollable wreaking havoc in an area of 50 km and its level is increasing with time instead of decreasing.

Floodwaters have submerged hundreds of villages. Water between RD 205 and 207 is overflowing due to severe pressure on weak embankments, alarming the population.
Sources said that the water level in LBOD, the country’s largest sewer, is continuously increasing to an alarming level. Fear has spread in the area after the attempt to cut LBO DRD 211 and the ongoing red alert to evacuate the area yesterday.
