ISLAMABAD: Senior PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry has reacted strongly over media reports that claimed that the Chairman of PTI Imran Khan admitted to have invested Shaukat Khanum funds in housing project.

Media reports claimed that during the course of a hearing of Rs10 billion damages case against Khawaja Asif, PTI Chairman and former premier Imran Khan on Saturday admitted investing an amount of $3 million from the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust (SKMT) funds in a private housing project, saying later the money was returned. The media reports further claimed that during the proceedings, Imran Khan said SKMT board had told him about the investment. However, he said he did not remember the name of the project.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Fawad Chaudhry termed such media reports as ‘classic case of media prostitution’.
He said “Endowments are created to back up charity organisation, (while) they (media reports) have shown as SKMH funds were misused.”

He further said “billionaire media owners never done any charity by working to destroy most respected charity for political gain.”

In 2016, it may be recalled, the PTI Chairman himself had tweeted about SKMT Endowment Fund that was invested abroad, and the same was received by the hospital full in July 2015.
