Fawad Chaudhry praises govt’s progress in implementing PFC Award

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhry Fawad Chaudhry has praised the federal government’s progress to implement the Provincial Finance Commission award.
In a tweet of Thursday, Fawad Chaudhry took wrote that the Prime Minister’s decision to implement the Provincial Finance Commission award is very important.

وزیر اعظم @ImranKhanPTI کا صوبائ فنانس ایوارڈ نافذ کرنے کا فیصلہ انتہائ اہم ہے، اضلاع اب اپنے حصے کے ترقیاتی فنڈز کیلئے صوبائ حکومتوں کے محتاج نہیں ہوں گے بلکہ صوبائ وسائل حصہ آئینی فارمولے کے مطابق تقسیم ہوں گے یہ بنیادی اصلاحات کی طرف ایک بہت بڑا قدم ہے۔ کابینہ کا بھی شکریہ

He wrote that the districts would no longer need the provincial governments for their share of development funds but the provincial resources would be distributed. “This is a big step towards fundamental reforms”, he further wrote.

The Federal Minister also thanked the Cabinet in this regard. The Provincial Finance Commission Award generally known as the PFC award is the term referred to as a formula for vertical and horizontal distribution of financial resources between the province and the local governments (LGs) and among different LGs.
