Fake account: Zardari, Talpur’s appeal to be heard on Nov 26

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court will hear the appeals of former president Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur against the fake bank account case on 26th November.

Supreme Court Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Ijazul Ahsan will hear the appeals of both accused in the case.
The registrar’s office of the court has issued notices to the lawyers of parties for the case.

The brother-sister duo is among 30 accused nominated in the reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau.

Both Zardari and Talpur were arrested by the accountability bureau earlier this year on charges of laundering billions of rupees through fictitious accounts.

The money laundering case refers to the embezzlement of Rs4.4 billion. NAB has accused Zardari and Talpur of owning shares of the Zardari Group, a company that received some of the embezzled funds.
